As a princess of heart, her heart has no darkness, only the pure light. It protects her and others from darkness although she has only unconsciously used this power once when Sora was turned back into a human. It is though that she could manipulate this power although it isn’t really much of battle power. {3 post cooldown}
Family: She currently resides with her adoptive father and mother, in Destiny Islands.
Character Personality: Kairi generally has a heart of gold, almost literally too. Being a princess of heart, she is filled with light, not even a glower of darkness in her pure heart. Maybe that is why she is such a caring young soul, whom always looks out for others over herself. She can be seen as selfless at times, as she knows exactly when someone needs help and maybe a little chat. She tries her best to cheer up everyone, although she isn’t sure if she succeeds all of the time. Kairi’s viewpoint on life is positive, as her optimism helped her seen through the bad times. She tries her best not to dwell on the negatives, only looking forward and seeing what good can came of her actions.
Kairi is very stubborn when needs be, not willing to change her mind for anyone, especially if any of her friends are in danger. That’s when her determination kicks in, not fading until she gets that peace of mind everything will be okay. She knows when to speak her mind, but that usually is only when a friend is in danger or if she is hanging around with her best friends. She very lively and is fairly tomboyish as she loves nothing more than a good adventure.
The main thing that keeps this girl going is her friends. She would do anything for them; even sacrifice herself for their safety. She is extremely loyal and unwavering to them, never wanting to leave their side when she knows they are in danger.
Although that is often the case, as she often had to watch as her friends went through some much just to save her while she could do nothing but watch. She feels weak in that way, her insecurities getting in the way. She feels inferior and so helpless at times. She just wishes she could find the time to be as strong as her friends, so they wouldn’t have to go through unnecessary pain just to save the ‘damsel’ which she fears she is sometimes. She wants to be more independent, although she is a quiet natured soul around others she doesn’t know. She can be shy, only opening up to her closest friends.
Character History: Kairi doesn’t remember much of her early childhood. In fact it was merely all a blur till she arrived on the beach of the Destiny Islands, attracting alot of attention as well. Truth was, she came from another world Radiant Garden and after it was taken over by the darkness, residents were scattered, which led her to be brought to this strange land. Two children became intrigued by the girl’s sudden appearance on their home and soon Kairi settled into live on the Islands. She was taken in by the mayor and lived a fairly comfortable life. Long gone were the memories off her old home, in with new ones. She soon got used to the idea of the Destiny Islands being her true home, as she made some very nice friends.
The girl lived the rest of childhood blissfully unaware of the threat of darkness, spending much of her time with her two best friends as they dreamed of visiting new worlds together. She often had to keep both Sora and Riku in line, as their rivalry sometimes got in the way of their fun. But nether less she loved spending time with them. Years went by quickly, as the young girl started to grow older.
When she was just fourteen, something happened that would change her friends and her own lives forever. After a particularly bad storm one night, a swarm of strange looking dark creatures took over the Islands. A strange feeling swept over Kairi, as she found herself standing in a secret cove when she used to play with her friends. She only managed to utter one word, her friend’s name, as she passed right through him, vanishing right before his eyes.
Her body soon ended up on a different plain, her heart drifting into Sora. By this time, she was unconscious, although her friend Sora fought desperately to find her. Her friend Riku was always looking for her although he was being manipulated by Maleficent into turning into the dark side.
She was eventually found, by Riku who was determined to find her heart and bring her back to consciousness. He fought with Sora over her as he soon was taken over by Ansem’s heartless. It was explained then that her heart was with Sora all along and that Kairi was a Princess of Heart, needed to open the keyhole. After a hard battle, Sora managed to drive Ansem out but in order to free Kairi’s heart, he ended up as a heartless.
Soon Kairi had awakened, to just get a glimpse of Sora before he vanishes. Upset, the girl was left to fight some heartless and strangely protected one with a warm embrace. Sora soon turned back into himself as the gang raced to traverse town. Kairi was told to stay there as Sora continued his journey, to prevent Ansem from taking over the worlds. There was a huge battle, but in the end, Sora won.
Soon enough, it was time for her to go back home as the worlds broke apart. She could only watch as she drifted away from Sora’s grasp, hoping one day that they would be reunited. Ending up back home, it was difficult to keep up the optimism, although she knew deep in her heart that would meet with both of her friends once again...
About a year later, Kairi was back at home, but her memories of Sora were not the same, due to what had happened with Namine messing with his memories and everyone around him. She didn’t remember his name but so convinced that there was another boy she was friends with, along with Riku.
It wasn’t until one day, while at the beach, something odd happened. Somehow she made a connection with Roxas; Sora’s nobody that was made when he tried to free her heart that time.
It was then that her memories slowly came back, as Sora reawakened. She remerged all about him and was hopeful that he would come back to their home. She knew that his journey was treacherous, but necessary. The worlds weren’t safe from the darkness, not yet.
Not long after, something weird caught her eye one day at the beach. It was a portal, dark, creepy looking. Out stepped a ‘man’ with wild fiery red hair and tried to tell her to come with him, to see Sora. She refused, knowing that he was more than likely trouble.
So she escaped through the portal trying to get away from him when...she was captured again. And then, taken away by another man, Saix. It was during this time she learnt of Organization XIII and what they were trying to again. Stuck in the World That Never Was, the organization’s base, she didn’t know if she would ever make it out. Until a strange girl appeared. She took Kairi’s hand as they managed to flee out of the cell, via a dark portal. But they were stopped once more by Saix. A strange black hooded figure soon saved them, but Namine seemed to know him. Taking a chance, she made her way over to him, thinking in her heart that she knew who it was. Even though when she pulled back the hood, it did not look like him.
But it was him nonetheless and she was relieved that she had found him. During a brief run in with various heartless and nobodies, she spotted another familiar figure. It was Sora. She watched as Soar and Riku fought them off, guilty as she couldn’t do anything. It was then that she was handed something, a keyblade, her keyblade. She took it in her stride and decided that she wouldn’t stand there and watch her friend get hurt anymore. After they were gone, she rushed towards her old friend. She was just so happy to see that he was alright and introduced him to Riku, as Sora didn’t know it was him to begin with.
They were all reunited at last. But the battle was not over. Not until the Organizations Leader, Xemmnas had been taken care off. So, both Riku and Sora went towards, ready to fight him. After a brief fight with him, Kairi spots someone familiar. It was Namine. Soon everything was explained, just as Roxas appeared out of Sora. The nobodies understood they would still see each other, even if they didn’t know it. With that, Namine and Roxas went back into their respective ‘others’.
The battle was not quiet over, till Riku and Sora fought Xemnas for the final time. Finally it was over, as Kairi made t back home safely to the Islands. But her friends were nowhere to be seen until she spotted two figures bobbing in the water. It was them! She was finally back where she belonged, with her two best friends! The battle over darkness was over. Or so the teenager thought.

Quotes:
"Don't ever forget. Wherever you go, I'm always with you."
"So, suppose you get to another world. What would you do there?"
"This time, I'll protect you!"
"Maybe... waiting isn't good enough."
Roleplaying Sample:
Kairi swept back a stray auburn hair that flew into her face. It was a nice day on the island, perfect almost. She was sitting on the tree near the ocean, just dreaming. What of, she wasn't sure, just normal thoughts like what she was having for dinner and school. And of course her friends. Her friends meant everything to her. She missed them so much when they went away, especially Sora. Sora was special, mainly because he was the true wielder of the key blade but it wasn't just that, he was the most sweetest boy you could ever imagine. She didn't want to lose, not again. It was torture knowing that he was big danger and she could do nothing. But not anymore, she was going to stay by both of her friends sides all the time.
She carefully watched the sky as a couple of clouds floated past. One shaped like a flower, the other a small dog. She gazed up at the sky for a little while but quickly got restless. She was wondering where Sora and Riku were and what they were up to this fine day. She was hanging around with them the other day. They were fun to be around, always joking and being all competitive. Today it was nice to just be herself and bath in the warm rays of the island sun. Plus it was not always fun hanging around boys, she was a girl after all and liked to have some female company. There was Selphie for that, but she was forever busy. Right now, this girl was happy sitting alone and having some peace and quiet.
She carefully relaxed while fiddling with her pockets on her light pink dress. Kairi was quite a quiet girl but she was rather bubbly when you got to know her. She was a good girl, sweet, caring and quite smart. She got good grades at school and had never really got into much trouble. She seemed like the perfect young teenage girl which is not always a blessing. She hated being treated like a delicate flower, her friends always left her out of all the action. She was always the damsel in distress, needed to be rescued. She wished she could have been in more of the action. She suddenly remembered that dark time.
She shuddered at that thought. Seeing her beloved island being covered with darkness was awful. All the worlds were in terrible danger of being taken over by the evil Organization XIII and the heartless. She hoped she had seen the last of them. Sora had fought so bravely to get rid of them once and for all. She hoped it would stay that way. She sighed quietly. Soon she was quite bored. She had enough quiet time now. She slightly raised her hand to her head and rested it in both her hands. She winced as the sun shone brightly in her eyes. She jumped off the tree carefully, making sure she didn't fall right down on her face. That would be embarrassing although no one was around to see it. She decided to go for a quick wonder around the island, seeing if there was anything new and exciting happening. But there usually never was. She walked round the island, looking round with her deep blue eyes scanning everything careful. Her shoes made a soft ruffling sound as they moved on the soft yellow sand.
